According to Iran Expo , export is one of the most important economic sectors of any country, which plays an important role in economic growth and development. With abundant natural resources and strategic geographical location, Iran has high capacities for export, but it also faces many challenges that affect the efficiency and volume of exports. In the following, some of the most important export challenges of Iran are discussed:

1. International sanctions and
trade restrictions: International economic and trade sanctions, especially US sanctions, have limited Iran's access to global markets and made it difficult to export many products.
Banking problems: Sanctions have limited international banking transactions and financial exchanges for exports have faced serious problems.
2. Exchange rate fluctuations and
sudden changes: extreme and unpredictable exchange rate fluctuations make long-term planning difficult for exporters and cause instability in export markets.
Financial risks: Exchange rate fluctuations can lead to financial losses for exporters, especially when there is a large difference between the official rate and the open market rate.
3. Logistics and infrastructural problems,
lack of infrastructure development: The lack of proper infrastructure for transporting and storing goods can increase export costs and prolong the delivery time of goods.
Transportation problems: Transportation restrictions, especially in the field of sea and air transportation, have created serious problems for exports, especially in the context of embargo.
4. Legal barriers and bureaucracy
Complex bureaucracy: Complex and lengthy administrative processes for obtaining permits and exporting can be time-consuming and expensive.
Changing laws: Constant changes in export laws and regulations can cause uncertainty and more problems for exporters.
5. Marketing and branding problems
of lack of knowledge of foreign markets: Many Iranian companies are not familiar enough with the needs and demands of foreign markets and cannot properly introduce their products to the target markets.
Weak branding: the lack of development of reliable and well-known brands at the international level makes Iranian products not find a suitable place in foreign markets.
6. Fierce competition in the world markets
of powerful competitors: the presence of competitors with similar products and competitive prices in the world markets can be a big challenge for the export of Iranian products.
Quality and standards: Some Iranian products may face problems in acceptance in foreign markets due to non-compliance with international standards.
A series of different challenges, including international sanctions, exchange rate fluctuations, logistical problems, legal obstacles, weakness in marketing and branding, and intense competition in global markets affect Iran's exports. To deal with these challenges, there is a need for comprehensive approaches and appropriate strategies from the government and the private sector so that the country's export capacities can be fully exploited
